Music Monday-JOY

So this Music Monday I'm spending the day with the Evil Twin. We co-decided that we wanted a happy song to celebrate our getting together after two years. We decided on Trading Our Sorrows.

Debbie wanted to use the song because her church is doing a sermon series called "Choice to Rejoice" and immediately thought of this song. I wanted to do this song because it is a feel good song and you can't help but to dance and sing along with it when you hear it (do I sound like Dick Clark now?).

For those struggling with issues, Joy is a Choice. We can choose to wallow in our circumstances or we can rejoice in what God has done and is doing for us in our trials and tribulations. Know that you are not alone. He is carrying you. Though you think you can't rejoice now, know that you can. By praising God, He will fill you with HIS JOY!

I'm trading my sorrow
I'm trading my shame
I'm laying it down for the joy of the Lord

I'm trading my sickness
I'm trading my pain
I'm laying it down for the joy of the Lord

Chorus:
And we say yes Lord yes Lord yes yes Lord
Yes Lord yes Lord yes yes Lord
Yes Lord yes Lord yes yes Lord Amen

I'm pressed but not crushed persecuted not abandoned
Struck down but not destroyed
I'm blessed beyond the curse for his promise will endure
And his joy's gonna be my strength

Though the sorrow may last for the night
His joy comes with the morning

Now go and share your Music Monday JOY with Shawntele at Saved by Grace.

Amen to that posting!!! Joy is definitely a choice and I find that sometimes when I don't feel like praising and rejoicing to God that when I just do it anyways, the feelings follow....Good song too!!

Hey Guys -

Andrea - I'm having a tonne of fun. Debbie and I are already getting ourselves into trouble.

Linda - I have to remind myself of that truth a lot. It seems easier to wallow than in praising. But there is so much rewarded when we do.

I like the words to this song. I have been hearing a lot about that line "joy comes in the morning" from several blogs as of late. hmm. I like joy.
